May 2019 - Construction is now underway on our project for Epiphany Lutheran Church, and our work in downtown Cape Charles.

February 2019 - Design has started on our Cape Charles Mixed Use Project. Article in Virginia Business

December 2018 - We are thrilled to begin a commission to restore the historic Parsons Building in downtown Cape Charles, Virginia. The project will provide boutique retail space on the ground floor and 6 modern urban condos on the upper two floors with views of the Chesapeake Bay.

October 2018 - Construction Documents are beginning on our projects for Epiphany Lutheran Church and Ginter Park Residence. Construction on these two projects will begin by the Spring.

September 2018 - Construction Documents have been issued for Ivy Creek Residence, and Charlottesville’s Peter Johnson Builders has been chosen as the General Contractor. Peter and his son, Gordon, are “architect’s builders” who have crafted numerous modern residences for many of Virginia’s finest architects. We look forward to a very exciting year watching this project get built.

December 2017 - Josh McCullar Architects LLC welcomes Katie Cortez, AIA to the practice as we begin a great 2018. We look forward to a strong year and building relationships with clients who seek a thoughtful and vision-driven architecture.

Richmond Row House Published on Divisare - September 9th 2017

 September 2017 - We are very excited to begin a commission to design a modern subterranean spa retreat on an equestrian farm in Hanover County, Va.

July 2017 - Progress at XIX Residence as the exterior 24" x 48" limestone panel cladding installation is now underway. The stone is from a quarry in Texas and has a honed smooth surface finish.

May 2017- Josh McCullar Architects is very pleased to have been selected to work with Epiphany Lutheran Church on developing a vision for its renovation and building expansion. The site occupies the prominent Western terminus of Richmond's Monument Avenue at its intersection with Horsepen Road in Henrico County. Out of eight firms, three were shortlisted for interviews last Fall, and a final selection was made in January. A preliminary design concept was completed in May, and the full project process is expected to begin in the Fall of 2017.
